Route 66 Mother Road Museum的点评
点评：This is definitely a must skip on your trip. The location is considerably off the highway and is mostly abandoned, like the town. We attempted to visit during “normal” business hours only to find a hand scribbled poster taped to the door stating that the hours had changed again from 10-3pm to 12-2pm? Why even bother to open at all?
Looking through the window, we could see that the “museum” itself is just a tiny collection of what appeared to be trash and garage sale items assembled to make you stop in this forgotten part of Barstow.
The exterior “museum” is not much more than a graveyard or defunct railroad pieces that must have been cheaper to throw together here than recycle. The exterior museum does offer a convenient place for the homeless of Barstow to gather though and shelter.
Do yourself a favor and forget about this place, much like history has…
