点评：My family and I have visited the Lexington County Museum many times over the years, and I cannot express how amazing it was. My first visits were when I was little, probably around 6-7 years old. I remember wandering around the period-furnished interiors of the houses and walking past the old smoking shack and through the one-room schoolhouse. I remember going with my elementary school class and getting taught detailed facts about the rich history of the Lexington area by the dedicated and passion-filled staff. When I was a little bit older I remember going and seeing all of the staff in period clothing and being able to drink apple cider while touring the museum. I cannot recommend this place more highly. The staff is truly dedicated and highly knowledgeable on the history of Lexington. Whether you are a resident wanting to learn more about your home or a tourist passing through, there is plenty to experience and learn at the fantastic part of the Lexington experience. One thing I would caution is to watch out for the weather, as the museum is largely an outdoor experience, except the main houses. Rain can put a major damper on your day if you are unprepared for walking between the attractions in the elements. Similarly, if you are not planning on walking a lot then this might not be the best place for you, as the museum is spread out over a decent-sized plot of land in downtown Lexington. In the end, I think that this museum is a must-go and an amazing experience for those interested in any kind of history.
