Unforgettable experience - one not to be missed!
Aihe Wildlife Cruises & Water Taxi的点评
点评：What an amazing experience we had with Aihe Wildlife cruises. Furhana was fabulous and incredibly helpful from the first time we spoke to her. We had intended to explore all that Stewart Island had to offer, including lots of walking tracks, but my husband tore his hamstring just before we arrived, making walking any distance too painful.
Furhana was so kind, going out her way to sort out activities that meant we could still experience this gem of an island.
We went on the 3 hour wildlife cruise and were blown away by all that we saw, including pengiuns and three different types of albatross, White Capped, Salvin's and a Southern Royal. Furhana skippered and guided the cruise. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife, as well as a skilled skipper. She made sure that everyone had the best opportunity to see the wildlife and take photographs. It was a truly memorable experience, with everyone buzzing from their encounters when we got back to shore.
We had also intended to join one of the guided walks over to Ulva Island, but weren't sure how much of the walk my husband would be able to manage. With absolutely no pressure, Furhana suggested going over on the boat and deciding when we got there, whether to do the guided tour or to just use the boat as a water taxi there and back. We didn't want to hold up the group, so ended up exploring at our own pace, with Sandi, the guide, giving us pointers on the best track to take and what to look out for. We were lucky enough to see two kiwi still out foraging and the group also saw saddkebacks, as well as a myirad of other birds and sea lions.
We cannot thank Furhana for her kindness and thoughtfulness throughout our stay in Stewart Island, making it a really unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend anyone to join her trips. You won't be disappointed!
