In July, we entrusted our 1997 Seadoo Challenger boat to this business with hopes that they would diagnose and resolve its issues. Unfortunately, communication was lacking on their end, and we had to reach out every few weeks to inquire about updates. When we did receive responses, they were vague and accompanied by excuses.
The owner informed us that certain parts were severely damaged and as they disassembled the boat further, they discovered additional problems. Despite providing the information needed to locate the required parts, the owner failed to contact the necessary parties. Furthermore, our recent messages were left unanswered, prompting us to personally visit the shop to retrieve our boat.
Upon our arrival, we were met with an unpleasant scene of two small dogs in the lobby, along with urine and feces on the floor. The owner engaged in a dispute regarding their lack of customer service and was found to be dishonest in several instances. He claimed to have reached out to our parts supplier but quickly backtracked when challenged, fabricating further falsehoods. He also acknowledged the existence of another individual capable of repairing our boat with the available parts, but neglected to inform us, resulting in unnecessary delays.
Expressing our dissatisfaction, the owner resorted to raising his voice in our direction. Mentioning that I intended to leave a negative review prompted him to threaten charging us. At that point, I decided against further confrontation, lies, or verbal abuse.
Subsequently, we pulled over to inspect the boat and ensure its contents remained intact. To our dismay, absolutely no progress had been made. None of the components were disassembled or examined, and the parts we had already removed remained in the exact same position. Regrettably, the boat was also in a filthy state. It is disheartening that not only did they fail to fulfill their contracted services, but they also neglected to properly care for the property entrusted to them.
It is unclear how the owner's claim of shredded parts aligns with the undisturbed components we had removed ourselves. The clamps, which are designed to be cut off, were still intact. Long story short, all we received were excuses and lies, resulting in the loss of an entire summer of boating.
Curiously, the owner later texted us asserting that he could have completed the repairs within a week, contradicting the fact that he had possession of the boat for several months without performing any work. Additionally, he claimed that the boat was unrepairable due to its age, only to then insultingly refer to us as "bitchy, broke, and stupid." He even threatened to send us to collections out of sheer maliciousness.
In light of these appalling behaviors, I strongly advise against supporting this establishment. Their treatment of customers is completely unacceptable and brings shame to their profession.
