Glorious Time Away At A Slower Pace
ABC Boat Hire的点评
点评：My friends and I had a brilliant few days away on a narrowboat hired from ABC at their Alvechurch Marina. We drove to the boat yard and as you drive through the village there is a sign to the marina so it is quite easy to find. It is also next to Alvechurch railway station so if you are travelling on public transport you will locate it.
When we arrived we watched a safety video and soon our boat was ready for us to start putting our belongings on. They have trolleys available to use to get your things from your car to the boat which minimises continuous trips back and forth. We managed it in one trip with two trolleys.
Nathan from the boat yard went through the checks for the boat with us and was happy we knew what we were doing so we set off.
Our boat had excellent facilities including kettle, toaster, micowave oven, hob and gas oven. We also had all the crockery, cutlery and glassware we needed. There were three of us but the boat could sleep five. The bathroom was very good with a toilet and sink, a very good shower and a heated towel rail. There were radiators throughout the boat so we were not cold.
We had a lovely time travelling along the canals and during the four days we had the boat we covered parts of the Worcester & Birmingham, Stratford Upon Avon and Grand Union Canals. We saw plenty of different wildlife including herons, moorhens, swans, ducks, a pheasant and a deer.
The staff were excellent at the boatyard. We had a minor issue on the first day and I called the boatyard and they got Nathan to call us back and he talked us through what we needed to do so everything was sorted.
Hopefully I will do another trip with them, not sure where though....

船厂的工作人员非常棒。第一天我们遇到了一点小问题，我打电话给船厂，他们安排了Nathan给我们回电，他详细地指导我们该怎么做，最终一切都迎刃而解了。
希望以后还能和他们一起航行，不过还没想好去哪里……
