明尼苏达州北岸观景公路的点评
点评：this is an activity you need to do a little planing on. our group of 3 adults did this in mid september 26. we started our drive in duluth from the downtown area where our hotel was. close to canal park.
we used two days to explore the drive and town splitting the sights up each day. the farthest we drove was just past the black sand beach area. On the first day we enjoyed seeing, the glensheen property, goosberry falls (did 2 of 3 trails) do to overcast and light rain conditions. bettys pies for lunch inside blt, chicken sandwich and soup. all good, and of course got pie to go. back in town spent time at canal park and had dinner, saw a large boat come through the lift bridge (very cool)
On the second day we started out on the drive to split rock light house, see the museum, grounds, light house. and did the trail to the lake shore for the photo op. drove up to see the black sand beach area , easy short trial and yes black sand how cool is that. last stop was the palisade head look out. worth the short drive up to the top, please note. you will have to walk over some un even rocks area to the viewpoint with no guard rails. its not far just not the place to let the small children run free.
had an unremarkable lunch nearby at a local family restaurant. went back to town. spent the rest of the day at the visitor center, shopping building, and walked the river walk to the veterans memorials. along the drive, we also stopped at a place to get smoked fish, very good cold and ready to eat as is. pulled over to see the few look outs along the lake shore drive.
Note. just north of duluth past the city if you exit the main highway and go to the lake shore drive closer to the lake, you will get a better view and see some pull outs took around. You cant see the lake very well from the highway.

第二天，我们开车前往斯普利特洛克灯塔，参观了博物馆、园区以及灯塔本身。之后沿着步道走到湖边拍照。接着又驱车前往黑沙滩区域，那里有一条简单短小的步道。真的有黑色沙子啊，太酷了！最后一站是帕利塞德观景台。值得驱车一小段路程上去看看，不过请注意：你需要穿过一片崎岖不平的岩石地带才能到达观景点，那里也没有任何护栏。距离并不远，只是不适合让小孩子随意奔跑。
我们在附近一家当地的家庭式餐厅吃了顿平淡无奇的午餐，之后返回镇上。当天的剩余时间则是在游客中心、购物区度过，还沿着河岸步道走到了退伍军人纪念碑处。一路上……我们还在一处地方买了烟熏鱼，这种鱼凉着吃非常美味，直接就能吃。后来我们把车停下来，欣赏了湖畔公路沿线的几处观景台。
注：在德卢斯市以北，如果你从主干道驶出，转上更靠近湖边的湖畔公路，就能获得更好的视野，还能看到一些停车区。从主干道上其实很难看清湖景。
