just made us a bit sad

点评：quite disappointing to be honest. we got there around 2:30pm-3:00pm, and some of the buildings were closing for a wedding. we didn’t mind and bought our tickets, which were £17+ per person. we asked about National Trust membership (because we weren’t sure if it was a NT site) and the staff member seemed weirdly insulted by us asking. we went and got some food from the cafe, which was extortionate but the staff were absolutely lovely. we got round the part that was closing earliest, did everything else we could and it was still early with everything else we had to visit (supposedly) still open. we found the last building we were supposed to go in, but there were fairy lights across the doorway, so we asked if the wedding was on in that building. you would actually think we had smeared poo all over our faces the way the staff member looked at us. was genuinely a bit taken back by how she responded to a reasonable question.
the site is beautiful and could probably make for a lovely experience if you have a lot of money spare, but we paid £17+ for half a site and some rude staff. just a let down all around.

翻译：说实话，挺失望的。我们下午两点半到三点左右到的，有些建筑因为婚礼要关闭了。我们并不介意，买了票，每人17英镑多。我们问了问国民信托的会员的事（因为我们不确定这里是不是国民信托的景点），结果工作人员好像觉得我们问这个问题很冒犯。我们去咖啡馆吃了点东西，价格贵得离谱，不过店员倒是挺友好的。我们逛完了最早要关门的那部分，把其他能去的地方都逛了一遍，时间还早，其他要去的地方（据说）都还开着。我们找到了最后一个要去的建筑，但是门口挂着彩灯，所以我们问是不是婚礼在那里举行。那工作人员看我们的眼神，就好像我们脸上抹了坨屎似的。她对我们一个很合理的问题的反应，真是让人有点吃惊。
营地风景优美，如果你钱多的话，可能会是一次很棒的体验，但我们花了17英镑多，却只占了半个营位，而且工作人员态度还很差。真是令人失望。
