点评：Located in the old workhouse, Nidderdale Museum is crammed with objects from the area and run by friendly volunteers, who told us that they have as many objects in storage as on display! £5 entry - well worth it.
I have visited twice in a week because there was so much to look at and just over an hour wasn't enough the first time! A trip down memory lane for many of the visitors around me who I talked to - old kitchen items, medical items, etc, to exclaim at! There are small sections dedicated to subjects including the kitchen, school, pub, laundry, local churches, costume, the war, cobbler, dairy and farming, blacksmith, local archaeological finds, local mills (flax / bobbins), geology, mining, etc.... And lots of interesting old photos on the walls of the corridor, including many about the building of the local reservoirs, using steam cranes! One of the best and most comprehensive local museums I have visited! Not too much to read, lots to look at.
