The Alnwick Garden的点评
点评：Bit of a mixed bag really. The pavilion cafe really lets the place down. It was Valentine’s Day and also our 24th wedding anniversary. We booked an afternoon tea with garden visit. £82 for myself and my husband. The venue for the afternoon tea is like a school canteen, Awful. Noisy, disorganised, long queues. Didn’t know how to let them know we’d arrived for our booked afternoon tea. (Already paid for or we wouldn’t have bothered ). I eventually got the attention of member of staff who told me to come back at 1pm (it was 12.50). Which was awkward as to go beyond the cafe you have to have your tickets scanned. Then as we only had 10mins we just hung round the bottom of the fountains.
Anyway 1pm arrived, we got the attention of the same member of staff behind the counter and were asked if it was really 1pm!
We were shown to some reserved tables. It really is an awful setting for an afternoon tea. We overheard others being seated for the afternoon tea saying the same. The drinks were brought out on a dirty trolley that looks more like for clearing tables.
The afternoon tea itself was absolutely delicious. Especially the cheesecake inspired mini. Plentiful food. We had to box some up.
Why not have it at least in a screened off area with signage or have it in the treehouse restaurant. (Only saw this from the outside). It really did feel like in the middle of a school canteen.
I did the poison garden tour which was an absolute faff to book. Kept getting error messages.
The lovely lady Emma who conducted the tour was fabulous. Educational and entertaining. She really is a credit to Alnwick gardens.
We loved the swings.
Even though it’s winter the gardens were still very presentable.

我参加了毒药花园之旅，预订过程非常麻烦，一直收到错误提示。
带我参观的艾玛女士非常棒，讲解既有教育意义又很有趣。她真是阿尼克花园的骄傲。
我们很喜欢秋千。
虽然是冬天，但花园依然非常漂亮。
