Fabulous lights...
The Alnwick Garden的点评
点评：Stumbled upon/booked the Christmas light experience via staff at the Bailiffgate Hotel and were surprisingly delighted. The setting was fabulous and the lights were really unexpectedly lovely. I particularly liked the cherry tree area and the fountains were of course spectacular. We sat for ages watching the musical final display - even though it was freezing cold! The gardens look so intriguing that'll we'll definitely be back in the spring for a look in daylight.
Hopefully constructive feedback - but as uninformed visitors (to Alnwick and to the Castle) there were very few adverts, signage in the town, or indeed even within the large car park when we eventually walked all round the 'long' way through/out of the town from the hotel. We enjoyed the walk...but pretty amazed that we made it that far without any signage putting us right (we found 1 sign on way home that we had missed)! Some might not enjoy it as much as we did.
There were also no staff to be seen except one at the ticket entrance and one at the top of the fountain area (to stop us falling into the gulley in the dark). Other than that we did not see a single warden or guide. Very odd. A little information could also be shared by such staff to encourage future visits? Finally, a few more food/drink options might work well (lots of people missed the 2 drink carts at the start and expected others en-route) and perhaps set up the terrace seating to better enjoy the final light/sound show? Hot chocolates/mulled wine on the terrace I suspect might be welcome by many....?
But we loved the experience....a lovely unexpected evening stroll through a beautifully illuminated garden. We'll be back :-)

不过，我们很喜欢这次体验……在灯光璀璨的花园里漫步，真是一次意想不到的美好体验。我们还会再来的 :-)
