Manitouahbee, where the spirit sits
Bannock Point Petroforms的点评
点评:The petroforms are ancient, human-made rock formations that have been there well before written historical accounts. They continue to be used as teaching tools by the Anishinaabe and other first nations. When you arrive you will see a large rock with offerings. It is customary to gift a small quantity of tobacco in thanks to creator. The pieces of fabric you see in the trees are used in ceremony and are NOT decorative. Whoever said they are interfering with the view needs to understand that the petroforms and the cloth ties are part of the same ceremony. It's not ancient history, this is NOW. please be respectful and do not disturb anything. Sometimes there are people who guide tourists professionally, and sometimes I tell a story or two to visitors when I'm there. This area is sacred to a vibrant culture. Miigwech.
