Worth the view. Don’t bother with audio guide. Go early.

点评：We drive there from Adeje in south-west Tenerife. The road was good quality, not very twisty and the landscape impressive. Took about an hour.
So much online said to go after 1pm to avoid parking issues, but we booked return tickets in the cable car for 10:20 and got there about 9:30 and there was plenty of parking, so if recommend going up early. (When we got down the mountain at approx 11:30 the car park was heaving and long queues for the loo)
During our stay in Tenerife the weather was always clearer in the mornings anyway.
We bought ticket with audio guide, but be warned you have to download an app to your phone for this. We didn’t bother with the guide. Would have been difficult in the cable car to listen (very cramped) and at the top the view is dominant.
You’re allowed one hour at the top and you need to have a return ticket, that they scan before you can come down. Dunno what happens if you don’t have a ticket, or you lose your phone. Maybe you are abandoned up there or thrown into the caldera. Honestly. Why would you not book a return ticket?
Views great. Walk challenging. Very cold (5-7°C) on our visit.
As you go up, they force you to take a pic against a blue screen and they force you through the gift shop on the way back where you’re pushed into buying said photo. It’s like scary flashback to 1990s theme park rides!
Don’t let this spoil the fun though.
