点评:We were in this part of the UP to visit Pictured Rocks, but added Palms Book to our itinterary based on the recommendation of a family member who used to work in the state park system. Kitch-Iti-Kipi (The Big Spring) is the highlight of the Park. The water is crystal clear and there is more to see under the water in addition to the bubbling spring. The pontoon raft is a clever way to get you out to the spring (only 20-30 yards). It is self-propelled by the visitors.
The surrounding woods is beautiful and serene.
The four star rating is because it's just a short visit to an out-of-the-way location and, if you don't have a State Park pass, the fee is $11 per car (out of state rate). If you're otherwise in the area, it's worth stopping, but, in my opinion, is not a "must see."
