Great park with loads of rides, but those queue times are depressing

点评：We had a great day at Islands of Adventure. FYI We went on a fairly “low crowd” day (according to crowd websites), but still felt packed.
There are loads of attractions and our favourite rides were VelociCoaster, Hagrid’s, the toon lagoon water rides and Jurassic Park. Note that on the water rides you WILL BE SOAKED! Super fun, but good to know if you prefer a poncho or want to swap into some crocs.
VelociCoaster in Jurassic Park was outstanding, and the newer lap restraints make it much smoother and more comfortable (no more hitting your head against the sides of over-the-shoulder restraints). Hogsmeade was beautiful in the evening. It was crowded, but the Express Pass worked well. We waited around 30-40 minutes for Hagrid’s (via express) even though the posted standby wait was 175 minutes.
The only real frustrations were queues for loos and food, and seeing ride vehicles go out half empty while long queues were building. Express pass was a must have for us, since the standby queue times are unbelievably long.
Overall, we still had an excellent day.
