点评:When I realized this place was within distance from my vacation in the Destin area, I KNEW I had to go here - both from a military history "nerd" and a aviation/space "nerd". It took me two hours from Destin but was absolutely worth it. I was not sure what the process was to get in, since it is on an active Navy base, but I knew ahead to have my passport. They will check your passport/ID at the gate and enter you in, where you then proceed to drive around until reaching the museum. The museum is free to visit and is massive - over 150 planes on display. There's also a good bit of history as well, so it's not just aviation. Two whole floors in the main building plus all of Hangar 1. There is so much to see that you could spend a whole day in here, or go other visits, and not be bored. They do offer guided tours or you can explore on your own.
