点评:Cockatoo Island has so much potential, but our recent camping stay was a real letdown, and I’d only give it **two** stars overall. While the harbour views are undeniably beautiful, the experience was overshadowed by constant rain, loud noise carrying across the water and around the campground, and the fact that there was nothing available after 5:30 pm – no food options, no activities, and very limited support, which is particularly frustrating when you’re stuck on an island with no easy way to leave.
The “quiet time” hours don’t seem to be enforced, and noise travels easily across the open spaces and harbour, so it was hard to relax or get a decent night’s sleep. Being confined to the island in wet weather only highlighted how little there is to do in the evening once everything shuts, and arriving hungry or unprepared after 5:30 pm would be a serious problem because services and check‑in are restricted after that time. Unless you get perfect weather and come fully stocked, this ends up feeling more like being stranded on a cold, noisy site than a special harbour camping experience.
It was also outrageously expensive and not real value for money
