We have visited multiple times, and each time we are overwhelmed by the hospitality and warmth of this family-owned and operated winery, distillery, and restaurant. Built literally by the hands of Ylle and Buti, with the support of their children and family, what they have achieved is truly admirable.
The grapes for the wines and the fruits for the spirits come from Kosovar vineyards and neighboring farmers. The same is true for the variety of cheeses, vegetables, and meats sourced from a local butcher. All are prepared in a traditional way, yet with a modern twist by Chef Ylle, who is truly a magician in the kitchen while also managing countless other responsibilities.
It is definitely a must-visit stop if you come to Kosovo, especially if you are in the Dukagjini area, to taste what Kosovo produces and to support a woman-led, family-owned business operating in an economy that continues to face growth challenges.
