点评:Imposing building from the road - not immediately obvious where the entrance is but luckily we saw some other folk going in so followed them. As we were leaving though, we saw a group of young people making their way back round to the front of the building looking confused about how to get in also; we slowed down and told them the entrance was on the back corner so they gratefully turned round.
Nice enough roasts (one chicken, one beef) with everything you'd expect to come with ... thoughtfully kept the cauliflower cheese separate from the rest of the veg which is not always the case ....could've done with being slightly hotter when served though, we both found ourselves rushing a bit as it was all going a bit cool.
Slight issue with the chicken which had some bright red liquid in the middle near the bone ... checked with the waitress who made no fuss and willingly checked with the Chef for us. Apparently it's not blood, but an enzyme which can appear near the bone in poultry even when it's properly cooked/probed at the correct temperature. Completely new to us, although we checked with Dr Google afterwards to find it's indeed completely true, but more importantly safe to eat; we stand corrected and more educated than we were!
We were given a complimentary cup of tea by way of good customer service (thank you to our excellent waitress) and paid the rest of the bill in full.

鸡肉有点小问题,骨头附近中间渗出了一些鲜红色的汁液……我们跟服务员说了,她很爽快地帮我们去问了厨师。原来那不是血,而是一种酶,即使家禽烹饪得当,温度也符合标准,骨头附近也可能出现这种酶。我们之前完全不知道,不过事后我们上网查了一下,发现确实如此,更重要的是,可以安全食用;我们之前真是孤陋寡闻了,现在更懂行了!
服务员热情地给我们送了一杯茶(感谢我们那位出色的女服务员),我们付清了剩余的账单。
