点评:The easiest way to see the Gardens is to take the cable car to the top and walk down back into Wellington. If you do this you will get to see most of the gardens without back tracking or too much uphill walking (though there is still some). It is well sign-posted but we did spend some effort trying to work out which paths would go down not up. Eating areas and toilets were sign-posted too.
These botanical gardens are mostly treed areas rather than lawn plantings. In late February the fernery was pretty with hydrangeas and other flowers though the Camelia Garden wasn't flowering. The Lady Norwood Rose Garden at the end (don't exit the gardens too early - you can go via the herb garden) were very pretty and well-labelled. The Begonia House was closed when we visited. You can then continue on the City to Sea walkway back into town via the Bolton Street Cemetery.
