点评：I had a superb day with Iain on the cliffs at Cruit Island and a sea stack at Tor na Dhumcha. Iain was instantly friendly and full of chat. He set out a plan for the day that catered to my ability and wishes. I felt safe at all times during the day.
I did a series of top-rope climbs at Cruit, where Iain gradually increased the difficulty. He gave me some coaching early in the day on my footwork and assessing routes. This definitely helped with the later routes. It was the right level of enjoyment and challenge for me.
In the afternoon we travelled to Tor na Dhumcha, some sea stacks close to the shore in a lesser known area of west Donegal. Iain brought an inflatable boat down to the water and set it up. After a short paddle across, we scrambled up onto the stack. Iain set up anchors and lowered me down onto a platform at the base, with the waves just below me (which was exciting in itself). The climb of about 18m was challenging, but I pushed myself and Iain was very encouraging. After this, I did one more (shorter) climb on the stack and then we returned on the boat.
Iain was fantastic all day and I fully intend to return for another adventure with him. Highly recommended.
