Harlyn Bay Beach的点评
点评：We visited Harlyn beach twice during our holiday in Cornwall and it is a fabulous spot. At low tide the beach is extensive and flat, with a few rock pools down the cliff edge under the car park. During the day the sea comes in a long way and families visiting for the first time moved once or twice to avoid the incoming tide.
There are life guards present and rules clearly displayed to make for a safe day.
It is fairly obvious where the sea comes in so just be aware when walking down from the car park. We had a toddler with us and when the tide came in he was up to his costume when wading with an adult. There were a couple of announcements to remind people to keep hold of children and dogs under control as the tide came in because, with people moving, for a short while, it was a little busy.
Access to the bay is via a narrow lane , in keeping with most of rural Cornwall, the car park accessible and around £10 for the day. There are toilets at the end of the field on the opposite side of the road to the car park as you come in to Harlyn or in the cafe/bar over the small bridge where the staff are very friendly, helpful with an extensive range of goods which for a captive tourist spot were reasonably priced. There are a couple of food and drink outlets at the end of the beach with the obligatory Kelly’s ice cream van.
