Stunning Falls in a Gorgeous Setting
Latourell Falls的点评
点评：This was our first of several stops in the Waterfall Corridor.
It was about a 5 to 7-minute walk up a slight slope to the base of the falls. I took about 12 minutes, because I just HAD to take photos of the lovely trees, greenery and wildflowers everywhere I looked -- lol.
The sight of the water cascading over the rocks and flowing under the historic 1914 bridge was the perfect setting for what we were about to see around the bend. And what we saw was simply WOW…!
The stunning Latourell Falls plunge down 224 feet over columnar Basalt that are splashed with chartreuse-colored Lichen. In the sunlight, the views were dreamy. The sound of the Falls was loud, but soothing, and the mist spraying over us was cooling.
It was not crowded when our tour group got here, so we were able to take a lot of fun photos of each other and enjoy the view of those Falls without interruption.
So worth the visit.
