Great little business, particularly for doing the Hūnua Traverse.

点评：We (group of six friends) used Shorebird Cycles to do a two-day cycle ride from Clevedon to Thames; we rode the Hūnua Traverse followed by the Hauraki Rail Trail.
Shorebird cycles provided hire bikes and minibus transport from Kaiaua to Clevedon, then Thames back to Kaiaua. The bikes were great; very reliable and well-specced; just the job for some quite challenging terrain. The e-bike batteries had plenty of juice left, even after the 1,180m total climb over the Hūnua Ranges.
Bob, the proprietor of Shorebird Cycles, couldn't have been nicer. Always on time, with a sunny smile and a well-appointed shop and van. He was very helpful when we we were working out our end-to-end logistics.
We stayed in The Bus Depot, a charming place just up the road in Whakatīwai (you can find it on AirBnB).
I highly recommend Bob, Shorebird Cycles, the Hūnua Traverse and the Hauraki Rail Trail.
