五月花剧场的点评
点评：We attend The Mayflower pantomime every year but this year felt a little bit disjointed. The positives - excellent performances by Alexandra Burke as Captain Hook, Max Fulham as Smee and Dr Ranj as The Magical Merman. Max was excellent at engaging the audience and to be honest the few mistakes made for more entertainment, especially from Dr Ranj who made a few classic errors with the tongue twister! The down sides - the story was a little woolly compared to previous years and the characters of Wendy, Tink and Peter Pan were a little underwhelming in the whole story which is what the Panto should have been about.
Don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed it but it could have been so much more with a stronger story. On a side note we saw Dr Ranj on the way home who stopped for a photo with my daughter and was an absolute gentleman, a really lovely man who took time out of his day which was hugely appreciated. Go and see the Panto, it’s extremely entertaining with a slightly woolly story but fun nevertheless!
