点评：Places like this perpetuate an ignorance towards how animals deserve to be treated.
They facilitate some people’s misunderstanding that animals are toys, performers, props, and playthings for human entertainment.
I made a mistake going here because I didn’t research it properly, but hopefully my experience and this review keep people away.
Raccoons are panting and pacing up and down their tiny shared cages, displaying clear signs of distress and frustration.
There is a gargantuan crocodile who’s probably seen dinosaurs sharing a small enclosure with two others, nowhere to swim and barely space to turn.
I saw an iguana and an otter on leads with collars around their necks. The iguana couldn’t move, and the otter was being walked around.
How they got an actual caiman to lay still on a table so that children could pass by and stroke it for a photo, I’m not sure.
This is a zoo, if not a circus.
There is a thin attempt to educate, but really it’s a prop room backstage for an animal show that would do equally well with stuffed versions.
