点评：First of all, I give props to all of the dancers and performers. They had to perform while being pelted with hard rain on what was probably a stage full of puddles. I could see the tension in their smiles as they performed. Only the fire dancers probably benefited. They did their best to try to make what was a pretty miserable experience a pleasant one. The musicians were covered with tents, but as an amateur musician myself I would not want my instruments exposed to that amount of moisture. The luau should have been canceled by organizers given the 98% chance of rain. After arriving at the remote event site, we were only given the option to cancel for a full refund, stay for a wet experience where one hour was shaved off or reschedule for next week. We could not do the latter, so the three of us decided to stay since we were already there. The rain let up slightly in the beginning so that we could enjoy the pre-show activities. They handed out thin ponchos, but we used our own thicker ones and umbrellas. They made the drinks slightly stronger to make up for the rain that fell into them, as we sat in our $200+ seats. The food what would have been good except rain fell into the haupia pudding and the pork was cold by the time it was served. I am glad I got to experience my first luau, but this will probably be my last as well.
