曼彻斯特美术馆的点评
点评：As others have found, i really enjoyed the artworks and for a short while at least i found the invitation to experience the art from a different perspective quite refreshing and interesting.
Unfortunately however, the continuous woke lecturing about either the artworks or the collectors, Britain itself or indeed the artists ruined some of it for me.
It felt a lot like having a bash at anything British and inserting words like 'appropriation' where there was really no place to do so along with making out of (historical) context observations based on modern morals and ethics.
I enjoy political art, created by an artist and attempting to deliver a message, even if i disagree with that message, however opinions of museum workers posing as experts are probably best left off the walls. I mean, if someone were to write an opinion next to a Banksy piece, it would be scrubbed off in seconds.
Having said all of that, finding a way to promote the messages behind the clumsy lecturing and stimulating debate on the important topics is a worthy cause.
