Fabulous views, lovely walk
Tobermory Lighthouse的点评
点评：We took our dog for this lovely walk out to the lighthouse last week.
The path is only a little steep on the first 100 meters to the gate.
Path a little muddy.
There has been a little land slip in one or two places and I think the path would be hazardous on a wet day. It was very dry and sunny the day we went. There is a road closed sign next to a picnic bench part way along but we spoke with other travellers coming back and they said apart from being muddy, bit of path narrower or part dropped they had found it ok to walk out. We took the view that if path became too hazardous we would turn back but it was a beautiful walk with amazing views and we were happy to see the lighthouse at the end.
Was approx 2km in each direction and I would say took us 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I’m sure other people would walk faster than us.
Pay attention to weather conditions but we had a great walk out.
Local council should strengthen the path where they reckon it’s bad enough to have put road closed sign out as it’s a fabulous tourist visit spot for the island & needs to be maintained.
