点评：We booked a tour of Taormiina and a wine tasting through Booking Sicily Tours. We were on a cruise that stopped in Messina with a group of 8 people. Alessandro communicated timely with me in the months leading up to our trip. On the day of the tour, Alessandro met us at the exact gate where he said he would be right off the ship. He brought us to a van that fit all 8 of us. He took us to an overlook of Isola Bella, high above the shoreline. He took pictures for us and gave us a bit of time to enjoy the view. He then brought us to Taormina and we were able to independently walk around and explore for a few hours. Our group did some shopping, went up to the amphitheater and ate at a small corner restaurant. At the agreed upon time, we met Alessandro for our trip to a winery.
Our next stop was at Bonfiglio Winery in Messina. We spent some time walking around, learning about the wines and their history and then sat down for our tasting. It was more than any of us imagined. The wines were spectacular and accompanied by trays of meats and cheeses. Once we finished at the winery, Alessandro dropped us off at the ship with a little time to spare.
Overall, it was the perfect tour for our group. We tend to be very independent, and Alessandro picked up on that right away. He was quick to answer questions if we had them about landmarks or towns. But our group was able to converse during the ride also. 10 out of 10, I would rebook with Alessandro if we return to Sicily.
