Beautiful park, but the parking situation was very frustrating

点评：We drove in hoping to visit the lighthouse and walk around the park. What ruined the visit was the parking situation — a ranger directed us to park roughly 1.5 miles from the main area and made us walk from there, which we did, only to find plenty of available parking spots once we actually got to the lighthouse area. Still don’t understand the logic. By the time we arrived on foot, access to the lighthouse was already closed for the day. We came to see exactly that, so it was genuinely disappointing.
The other thing — and I’m not sure if it’s always like this or just the day we went — was that several groups had music playing at full volume, and it carried way beyond wherever they were sitting. Some people might enjoy the atmosphere, but if you’re hoping for a quieter nature outing, worth knowing.
That said, the park itself is beautiful and very well maintained. Clean, green, the views are great. Just wish the parking call had been handled differently — it would have been a completely different visit.
