A particularly smart and academic guide

点评：We spent three days with Adriaan in late March - we were a family of two parents and three children visiting from the United States. My understanding is that Adriaan is the son of the founder and has recently restarted the business after it was quiet for a few years. He grew up in San Pedro and has a multi-decade perspective on the area, its people and customs, etc. And he is very deep on geology, fauna, flora, etc. In short, the effect was that we were with a guide who had the perspective of a local but the expertise of an academic. He is smart, droll, well-educated, and has a somewhat academic orientation, which is generally impossible to find among guides. Imagine a friendly professor who's also a guide...it was sort of like that. It was EXCELLENT, and we were really excited to spend the three days with him. My sons adored him and thought he was the best guide we've ever had on various trips. While it certainly was good to be with him at more notable sites like Moon Valley and the salt flats, it was even more interesting to be with him at slightly lesser-attended spots like Lejia. Highly-recommended.
