Amazing 3 Day Paddle with Whales!

点评：My teen daughters and I had an incredible 3 day trip with North Island Kayak! Our guides, Becky and Leanna, were an absolute delight! They are incredibly fun, passionate about wildlife, deeply knowledgeable, and all around amazing people. Co-guide Ava was also amazing and we felt extremely safe and well cared for from start to finish.
When the weather didn't cooperate for our intended itinerary, North Island went truly above and beyond to give us an even better experience than we were expecting. Their partner company, Prince of Whales Whale Watching, took us out on a 3 hour whale watch tour, and dropped us off at our campsite since the wind was too strong for us to paddle across the Johnston Straight. This turned out to be such an unexpected blessing, as our whale watch guide Logan was such a gem and we saw so much more of the area- and whale hotspots- than we would have otherwise. We got to see countless humpbacks (including a mom and calf right off of our campsites beach), orca, and even a rare Minke, who put on quite a show for us.
We loved every moment of our trip and cannot wait to return! Big thank your to the entire team at North Island Kayak for making our weekend trip so amazing and pulling out all the stops!
