点评:It was an early start, 8am on a Sunday! But it was so worth it. We pumped up our boards then we had a safety briefing before heading down to the Dudley canal. We got on the water & a barge led the way. We passed through a tunnel & came out the other side to be greeted by a flock of flamingos! Then into the tunnel again for a video, the sound quality wasn't the best but we got the gist. We paddled some more into a larger area, where we were treated to a short light show & timeline depicting the history of the canal. Next after a very long tunnel we were out into sunshine. But the piece de resistance for me was the next tunnel. It was wider than the other tunnels & we had to have someone at each end to stop other canal traffic from going through. It was absolutely amazing. While other paddlers tested out the acoustics I was mesmerised by the reflection of the ceiling on the canal, as it felt as though I was suspended in mid air, an illusion created by the reflection was, I was seeing the bottom of the canal. It was totally awesome!
We then had a stop for lunch of approximately half an hour after which we continued our paddle. There were some strong winds to contend with but we made it back to the canal centre before the cafe closed.

然后我们停下来吃了大约半小时的午餐,然后继续划桨。虽然有一些强风需要应对,但我们在咖啡馆关门之前回到了运河中心。
