Garage Pass Shop Tours的点评
点评：I had some time off and was looking for something fun to do. A friend of mine recommended Garage Pass Shop Tours and specifically Patrick.
I'm not a rabid NASCAR fan, but I figured why not. I contacted Patrick and scheduled the tour, and I'm so glad I did.
Patrick’s knowledge really makes the experience special. Having worked in NASCAR himself, he doesn’t just point out the race shops — he explains how everything works behind the scenes, from how the cars are built and maintained to what the teams are doing day-to-day.
The stories and insights he shares are things you’d never get just driving around and visiting the shops on your own. He stays in close contact with the race shops throughout the day, which allowed us to make a quick schedule shuffle when we learned one shop would be closed around lunch for a company-wide victory celebration! Once we got in to that shop they paraded the trophy for us by the way!
He was also able to time our visit perfectly so we could witness live pit practice performed by the actual driver. Most of us will never be that close to a real pit stop, and believe me, it’s something to see.
Patrick answered everyone’s questions thoroughly and had tons of interesting stories and information. He explained the different generations of cars, pointed out which ones we were seeing at each shop, and talked about rule changes and how they’ve impacted the sport and the teams.
His relationship with the shop staff also led to some great interactions. We spent about 30 minutes talking with a tire specialist and were able to see the Hawk-Eye system in action.
If you're in the area, you really need to take one of these tours. Whether you're a die-hard NASCAR fan or just curious about how the sport works behind the scenes, you won’t be sorry.
