点评:We had a wonderful day at San Pacrazio. Reinforcing why it is so nice to go off season, the always small group tour was just the two of us and our amazing guide/host Luca.
The ride from Florence was less than 30 minutes. The medieval winery was very cool and the view of the Tuscan countryside from the winery was spectacular.
Luca was a great guide who told us about the current state and future visions for wine making in Chianti on the ride up, then gave us a tour of the winery.
Then he changed hats to sommelier and presented and discussed the different wines we tasted in a very approachable, unpretentious way. As someone who enjoys wine but doesn't care that I'm not a wine connoisseur I really appreciated his approach. But it was clear that Luca could discuss the wines at any level one might want.
Then he put on his chef hat! With the first 3 wines we had a wonderful charcuterie board which included an amazing arugula pesto on crostini that he also told us how to make when we returned home. While my wife and I were enjoying the first pairings, Luca snuck away and made us a fresh pasta dish to go with the last 3 reds. Which was also amazing and he again gave us tips on reproducing it back home.
Ultimately, wouldn't have changed one thing about the day.

然后,他又戴上了厨师帽!前三款酒搭配的是一份精美的冷盘,其中一道令人惊艳的芝麻菜青酱烤面包片更是锦上添花。卢卡还告诉我们回家后该怎么做。我和妻子正享受着前几款酒的搭配时,卢卡悄悄地为我们准备了一份新鲜的意面,搭配后三款红葡萄酒。这道意面也同样美味,卢卡再次分享了在家复刻这道菜的秘诀。
总而言之,这一天的一切都非常完美,没有任何遗憾。
