点评:We brought our tickets from the sanctuary’s website directly and they organised pick up and drop off for us to our hotel. Manuel was our guide and was extremely knowledgable of the animals, their care and even gave us a Peru history lesson on the drive home. His English was perfect.
There were others there having tours but it never felt crowded or rushed.
It is clear that rehabilitation and release is the first and foremost thought for this sanctuary and the animals. Unfortunately there are some animals that have been rescued and will not survive back in the wild but they will be well cared for here. It was sad to hear of the animals stories, some as exotic pets, some dumped in the bin and others rescued from the illegal trade. A morning well spent with this beautiful animals and the lovely people who ensure they are very well cared for. Feeding friendly alpacas and llamas at the end was an added bonus!
