点评:I started out my Costa Rica adventure by joining two Facebook groups with the intention of planning the whole trip myself. We are a family of five, with kids ranging from 16–22. After countless hours researching hotels, activities, and everything in between, I finally decided my time was more valuable and enlisted the help of C.R. Travels to help me plan.
I took all of my initial research, including the locations and activities we wanted to do, and sent it over to James. He took it from there and put together a trip of a lifetime, hitting every important stop on our list. I am SO happy I chose to go this route!
Every day of our itinerary included drop pins for our hotels and adventures, along with notes about which meals were included. Each new town also had a list of restaurant recommendations with descriptions, as well as suggested stops along the drives to help break up the longer stretches.
We were in contact for about four months leading up to the trip, and James checked in with us daily while we were there to see how everything was going. Being in a foreign country, we felt like we had a local helping us every step of the way — and we did!
Quick summary of our trip!
🇨🇷 La Fortuna
We flew in and out of San José, and our first stop was La Fortuna. We stayed at Arenal Springs in a two-bedroom suite, which was the nicest of our three hotels. Our adventures in La Fortuna included zip lining, a guided hanging bridge tour, canyoneering, white-water rafting, and a sloth tour. I recommend EVERY SINGLE ONE!
🌿 Monteverde
Our second stop was Monteverde. We stayed at Arco Iris Eco Lodge right in town, which was super convenient for shopping and restaurants. We had a cute two-bedroom cabin, and the grounds had beautiful winding paths through the gardens. For activities, we did a guided cloud forest night hike and the Curi Cancha Reserve hike. Both were amazing!
🌊 Manuel Antonio
Our third and final stop was Manuel Antonio. We stayed at The Falls Resort in a three-bedroom, apartment-style room. We loved the cute boutique setting, and we always had monkeys and iguanas hanging around the property! We couldn't miss doing a guided tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. It was VERY busy, but totally worth it! The rest of our time was spent exploring and enjoying the beach. We even found beach access where we could drive right onto the beach!
This was quite possibly the best trip I have ever experienced, and it's all thanks to C.R. Travels! They took all of the stress out of planning and gave us everything we were looking for — and more.
If you're thinking about traveling to Costa Rica, I HIGHLY recommend letting them help you plan. You won't regret it! 🇨🇷❤️

Travels!
