点评：What an absolutely brilliant day!
We tackled the Rail Trail on a weekday, which was perfect—not too busy, so we could soak up the scenery (and, as it turned out, a little bit of mud!).
There was a light sprinkle of rain, but don’t let that put you off. If anything, it made the adventure even more fun. We finished with muddy bikes, muddy shoes and plenty of laughs. Sometimes the best memories are made when things don’t go exactly to plan!
Our group had riders with all levels of experience, from those who hadn’t been on a bike in ages to more confident riders, and everyone had a fantastic time. The e-bikes made it easy for everyone to enjoy the ride at their own pace.
The funniest part? Every one of us is a local, yet for many of us it was our first time on the Rail Trail. We spent half the day wondering why on earth we’d waited so long! It’s one of those experiences that’s right on your doorstep but still manages to make you feel like you’re on holiday.
Days like this just reinforce why we love living where we do. Beautiful scenery, fresh country air, plenty of laughs and a great adventure. Whether you’re visiting the region or you’re a local who’s been saying, “We’ll do it one day,” take this as your sign book it. Just don’t wear your best white shoes!
