Dont make this a day trip, you wont get a refund
Treetops Cape Tribulation的点评
点评：I do think that I should warn people that are considering taking this tour.
We didn't get to take the tour, not their fault, we were late.
We spoke with the tour group and were advised to allow 2.15minutes to get from Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation. We allowed 2.45minutes. when we arrived at the ferry there was a big line that saw it take 50 minute to get across the Daintree. At this point we rang the tour operator to let them know we appear to be on time but could be a touch late. We got about a kilometer from the ferry and were stop for a further 30 minutes because of major road works. The December cyclone had caused the roads to be washed away, they seem to be doing an amazing job to repair it but they have a very long way to go. Once we got through a couple more hold ups we arrived at treetops 15 minutes late and the tour had left. Not their fault we were late. We waited for the guide to come back and they offered to split my family and go on the next 2 tours. As a family we did not want to go separately, and thought about how long the trip back would be. NO CREDIT OR REFUND WAS OFFERED. $500 gone on a tour that happened without us. Again its not the fault of the tour that we were late but we took their advise on timing, left even earlier, rang them to let them know were we where, what else could we have done? I am disappointed that we were not offered a refund because the tour group are FULLY aware of the ferry and road closures, I think that they should be suggesting to people that unless they are staying in Cape Tribulation then they should really consider if loosing their money is ok. My suggestion would be to stay locally and get to enjoy what I imagine could have been a great experience. For us it was disappointing. Good luck if you try the day trip. Cheers
