Half the equipment didn’t work so ruined the escape room experience

点评：Booked for my daughter’s birthday for her and 4 friends to do the Alice in wonderland VR escape room together. She was so excited to do her first VR escape room with all her friends. On arrival our host told us that only 3 of the 5 units were working. I questioned where their spare units were and was told they were broken too. I had 5 excited children and only 3 units! They had to keep swapping to use the units which completely ruined the experience as it’s hard to keep track of an escape room when people keep changing in and out. Made a formal complaint and requested a refund and was told they wouldn’t refund but would let me have a discount off my next experience with them! Why they think I’d ever want to go back there. They ruined my daughter’s birthday and left me with 5 disappointed children. They did let the children have a go on the VR 360 whilst they waited, but going on a solo chair experience when they were supposed to be doing a joint escape room was not the experience I had paid for. There was a group of 5 coming in after us and at no point did the host attempt to call them to warn them either to reschedule, so this is clearly something that happens regularly.
The only saving grace was the Panic Room nearby who we’d booked their Alice in wonderland mini golf with. We explained what happened and their staff went over and above to brighten our day. Spend your money at the panic room rather than this place.
