点评：We paid the park entrance and got there by 4:00 to make sure we could make sunset at 5:45. It’s a bit of a walk from the entrance but flat and easy. We really enjoyed the sunset and swam in the warm ocean. Now the word of caution!!!! Sunset was at 5:47 and we stayed, as did everyone else, to watch it and then walked back the 10-15 minutes but the gate was locked! There is no way around the gate unless to climb over it but unfortunately we were unable to do that with our family and there were ALOT of people trying to figure out what to do because we were literally locked into
the ocean side of the beach. We had previously seen the other entrance down the beach which was quite the walk on the beach or trail we found AFTER the river crossing. After finally getting to the other exit we still had to walk back to the other side of town where the original entrance was and it was a haul. We had a great time but you need to know if you’re not out of the park by 6pm you need a flashlight and the ability to walk a ways to the second entrance. This is really a dangerous situation if you don’t know there’s a second entrance, have no phone or you are not fit enough to walk the long distance. An easy fix would be installing a rotating exit gate for people that don’t make the 6pm closing time… especially when you sell tickets to a beach specifically to walk whales take and low tide wasn’t until 5:00 pm!
