Enchanting place to watch hummingbirds in a natural setting & learning about these lovely creatures

点评：We happened to get a chance to visit Yerette this month & it was the perfect way to start the new year. Yerette is the home of Theo & Gloria Ferguson, who lovingly share their home with 100s of hummingbirds that visit the gardens daily.
Upon entry, you immediately notice the butterflies & the many species of hummingbirds. There are many feeders hanging around, which are easy vantage points to watch the birds. Theo makes for a gracious host, and he is the one that guides the conversation along & gives you an introductory talk, peppered with interesting facts about the hummingbirds.
After Theo's talk, you are free to roam around the garden & take pictures of the birds & just observe them in their natural habitat. The majority of the hummingbird species on the island can be found here. Gloria, Theo's wife provided us all with a delicious soup & salad lunch, as we had booked the afternoon slot.
Overall, it is a lovely calming place, in which to appreciate nature & the amazing hummingbirds. An afternoon well spent.
