However, as many others have already noted, the need for attention of Theo, the other owner, greatly detracts from the experience. He is very poor at reading the room and adapting to his customers; if you don't behave as he expects, he takes it personally and reacts very offensively. He gave a 2-hour lecture, even though the information could have been conveyed in 5 minutes, but he kept getting tangled up and repeating himself or going on at length about things that are absolutely clear to everyone (e.g., that Native Americans are human beings). If anyone dared to observe the animals that appeared, he demanded attention and reprimanded people to the point of telling them to leave the lecture. He also didn't care at all if someone expressed discomfort with something (e.g., question-and-answer games or guessing games) – whether they were native speakers or not, the guests were forced to participate. All in all, it felt like we were there for his amusement and not because we had paid for an experience. That's no way to treat people – and certainly not customers.
