Amazing exploration of Savannah Sound with an expert guide and super cool guy

点评：We were staying on Eleuthera for a few days as part of a special holiday to The Bahamas and really wanted to find a way to explore the southern part of the island and its coast and find out more about the local wildlife and habitats.
We found Fishbone Tours and Julius (aka Captain Bubba) and we were glad we did as we had an amazing day out with Julius, his boat and the local wildlife.
Extremely knowledgeable about the local area of Savannah Sound and Eleuthera in general, Julius was the perfect host and quickly got us on the water and exploring the mangroves for groupers, snappers and amberjacks, getting us involved in fishing for them and for bait to hook us our lunch.
As we cruised across the Sound, Julius taught us about the different turtles we were seeing, where the conch, lobsters and starfish live. Julius being a good human and custodian of the Sound, he also helped some other shoreline visitors who were about to go snorkelling avoid the more dangerous parts of the waters where they could have encountered sharks.
Our explorations took us out into the Atlantic at the north of the Sound to find bigger fish and we found three bull sharks that were taking an interest in our lunch. Seeing them switch from curious to frenzy in the wild was a truly amazing experience.
After this excitement we returned into the Sound for a more chilled lunch experience and Julius expertly turned our catch into super fresh sushi while we swam. And to top it off Julius, a man of much knowledge and multiple talents, regaled us with his guitar and his repertoire of Bob Marley classics and other songs that between us we just about knew most of the words.
An absolutely brilliant day out, perfectly tailored by Julius to what we wanted from the experience, topped off by getting to hang out in a lovely part of the world with a super cool guy.
Definitely would recommend!
