A great experience from start to finish!

点评：We booked the Special Excursion to Santana & Harvest Festival at Quinta do Furão - celebrating wine festival with our hotel… super easy.
Elio ‘Elvis’ turned up with a 16 seater minibus… which was great as we didn’t want a massive coach full of people. He was friendly and engaging.
As we started our journey, he was funny, warm and very knowledgable. We stopped in some places and he explained what is there to see, how long we have and let you do your own thing.
The excursion itself was fantastic, nature, some mountains and then some wine!
He was a very happy guy and his warmth did get the group talking too.
It was a great trip and when we got to Santana we had a cocktail and buffet lunch… and of course the celebration of wine! Traditional folk people danced and celebrated and it was a lot of fun. The food at the buffet was super nice too… and then the wine…. It was just so nice.
On the way back to Funchal we stopped in Machico and enjoyed the beach and the sand… and then short trip back to our respective hotels.
It was a great day trip, very relaxed, something there for everyone and Elio made it enjoyable but also learnt more about this beautiful island.
100% recommend this tour!
