点评:We rented bikes to the wall of tears we were happy with our decision to not walk it. It was a very hot and long ride, but so worth it. We brought lots of water, sunscreen , and those who wore closed toe shoes were happy they did.
There were several places marked with signs to pull over and check out the views. We stopped at most of these but two were highlights for our family. One was marked El Condenso, this was a very long trail (maybe a mile each way). While on that trail, at the fork take the trail to Barranco and follow til the end. We saw many large tortoises along the way. From this stunning area overlooking the water we saw blue footed boobies and giant turtles swimming in the ocean. It was a breathtaking area. The other area we loved was El Estero , wow!! At that point we were so hot that most of us got in the water with our clothes on. I’d recommend bringing bathing suits and towels and spending time here, it’s magical. We walked through the mangroves and then we were so close to many blue footed boobies, what a beautiful place! The wall of tears is a sad reminder of a dark time in the history of Isabela, but the journey there is remarkably beautiful and I’d highly recommend.
We took our time , with the viewpoints/.trails mentioned above we spent 4 1/2 hours round trip.
