In June 2025 I paid in advance by bank transfer for a husky sledding experience scheduled for March 2026 as a special birthday experience for my wife.
Unfortunately, the company cancelled the activity the night before the event, what has followed has been extremely poor customer service.
After the cancellation the company asked me to provide my bank details so they could process a refund. I provided these details promptly on 21 February 2026.
However, despite several follow-up emails and giving the company a clear deadline to respond, I have received neither the refund nor any reply.
It is very concerning that a company can cancel an activity, acknowledge that a refund is due, request bank details to process it, and then simply stop responding to customers.
It is also worth noting that payment had to be made by bank transfer rather than credit card. This means customers do not have the additional protection normally available with credit card payments if something goes wrong.
The amount outstanding is £391, and I have now had to raise a complaint with the UK International Consumer Centre in order to try to recover the refund.
Based on my experience, I would advise travellers to exercise extreme caution when booking.
