Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens的点评
点评：This is a hidden gem in Ormond Beach. Stopped in here and I was pleasantly surprised. Arrived shortly after opening and the museum and gardens were quiet. There is a nominal admission fee but the museum and gardens are well worth it.
The current display of upcycled objects by Jeff Schofield was intriguing, unique and spectacular. It brings to light the disposable society which has been created. Other works of art are on display as well.
Don't forget to pick up a brochure of Art Imitates Life II Beyond the Bronze, the Seward Johnson Sculpture Tour. These life size sculptures are extremely detailed and most interesting. Several are within walking distance of the museum.
The outdoor gardens are well maintained, peaceful and provide an opportunity to sit at various benches throughout the gardens and reflect. The gardens provide a calmness and restful environment (even though it is located in close proximity to busy Granada Blvd.) The turtle pond is active with various species of turtles. A look at the cluster of bamboo and its great height as well as various other foliage.
Great museum and from my understanding the art displays change periodically.
The museum does have complimentary parking available just south of Granada Blvd. behind the gardens.
Would highly recommend and I will return again.
