An enjoyable day admiring Chihuly at Meijer Gardens!

点评：Recently drove to Grand Rapids to visit Meijer Gardens with a friend. We were there to see the Chihuly installation! We arrived mid-morning, bought our general admission tickets, and went directly out into the Gardens, starting with the Gwen Frostic Shade Garden and the Michigan Farm, then into the Japanese Garden where there are 6 Chihuly water installations, each really beautiful and invite viewing from afar as well as close up. Being a hot day, we walked back to the visitor's center for lunch. Afterwards we visited the Chihuly: Radiant Forms exhibition in the gallery (this requires a separate ticket). Superb exhibition with new forms I had never seen in previous Chihuly exhibitions. We headed back out into the Gardens to see the remaining Chihuly works and a few of the more interesting sculptures before calling it a day!
