Herd it on the Grapevine tour and stay at Dumble Farm

点评：If you haven’t visited before it’s a must and if you have to do it again. What an amazing experience, we stayed in one the Yurts for two nights. We had booked the herd it on the grapevine tour, but there’s other experiences available and we will be back hopefully later in the year for a visit. It’s a family run business and from the off Cillian, Fi, James and Will were super friendly, informative and helpful. The boozy coo bar opens on weekends according to the website but it was open the night we arrived (a Tuesday) because they had plenty of guests to warrant it, The drinks menu is very extensive and they stock laurel vines wine which is produced a couple of miles away. The Yurt was immaculate and has a hob, kettle, dining table, log burner, settee, very comfortable bed and everything is highland cow themed. It has an outside fridge, barbecue, fire pit, a large patio area and seating and a lovely view of fields with a neighbouring cow herd. The toilet and shower block are literally behind the yurts and should you need a microwave or toaster there’s a guest kitchen seconds from the yurts. But why cook, there’s a lovely pub called the crown and anchor less than 2 miles from Dumble Farm which is a scenic walk along the river and the food was delicious. The tour was fab and we got to meet, feed and pet all the gorgeous highland cows and calves as well as meet the cuddle cow herd and enjoyed some lovely cake and coffee. If that wasn’t enough we headed back to Laurel vines vineyard for a tour and a lovely picnic accompanied by a bottle of their wine, we went for the barn owl red which was delicious. Honestly cannot recommend this experience or Dumble Farm enough.
